Our school is proudly named after Dave McNeilly. Mr. McNeilly had a passion for many things in life, especially the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish. Another great passion was for our community for which he worked so tirelessly. He was the first principal of Dr. K.A. Clark school, served four years as councillor and deputy Mayor, was a member of MacDonald Island Steering Committee, and a member of Keyano College board of governors. Dave was also named senior of the Year in 2001, and was also awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for Significant Contributions to Community in 2013.
